We were proud to be awarded as main contractor by the OPW for the construction of the Garda Station in New Ross, Co. Wexford. This two-storey development with a floor area of 1,276m2 was among the first in the country to follow new design regulations set down by the Dept. of Defense and the OPW.

The Results
To the front of the building, the entrance and public areas are located on a podium paved in Carlow limestone. The new public space formed in the southern corner of the site, with steps, seating, flagpole, and a specially commissioned sculpture by Michael Warren, nestling beneath three blossom trees, is bounded by a low wall, hedge, and grass bank. We are proud to say we won the inaugural award for this category of building at the award ceremonies in Dublin in January 2007.
